We are very humbled to express our gratitude to our residents, staff and families for their sacrifices during the last year.
Since the start of the pandemic we are just 1 of very few care homes in the country which have amazingly avoided an outbreak.
It shows testament to the hard work of our staff team and the strict infection control measures which have been followed.
We are confident as restrictions lift the home remains in a strong position to reduce the risk of infection.
During the pandemic our staff have worked very hard in protecting against covid-19. Here are just a few ways we have been able to protect those we care for:
Thanks to the incredible work that our recommended care home GP surgery. All of our residents and staff are now fully vaccinated.
We were very lucky to be one of the first care homes in the area who received our vaccines very early in January 2021. With the second vaccine coming just 10 weeks later.
We know the last year has been incredibly hard. They has been a huge stigma around the 'danger' to those within a care home setting. Around the restrictions in place with visits and concerns of lack of PPE.
Be reassured we strive to keep up with all changes as they come with regards to government/local authority guidance on visits.
As soon as recent updates on care home visits came into force. We jumped into action. Gaining advice, working with local authority, creating risk assessments, planning for visits, contacting families, advising our residents.
We have restarted indoor family visits with all family members welcome. This is in addition to window visits and the use of technology we have used to keep connected throughout the pandemic. Now as restrictions continue to lift we are constantly re adjusting plans and looking at the safest way for all.
We have more than enough PPE and lateral flow testing capacity to ensure safe and secure visits are managed.
